The WRC would like to take a moment today to personally thank Colleen Ritchie. For those that don't know, Colleen Ritchie is the one responsible for making the Student Giving Campaign possible. Her generosity provided the funds that 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place received for participating in the campaign (a total of $3,500). On top of that, Colleen also agreed to match all Tel-Alumni donations 1-to-1. This gave the WRC an extra $1,393 to donate to our cause.

Thank you so much Colleen! Your generosity will not go unnoticed!

LGBT Resources in Kirksville

Finding a community is important for those struggling with their sexuality or gender. Here is a list of resources found in our local Kirksville area!
PRISM: The vision of Prism is to incorporate values of diversity, appreciation of LGBTQIA+ culture, and the reverence of acceptance nationally and on Truman State University’s campus. Furthermore, we seek to have leaders emerge from our group with high ideals and the resolve to strive for the attainment of full civil liberties for queer people across the globe. In addition, Prism will provide a comfortable climate on this campus for LGBTQIA+ students and their straight allies. We welcome all students, visitors, professors, and Kirksvillians who are interested in learning more about LGBTQIA+ topics or meeting people with LGBTQIA+ experiences.
Other resources provided by PRISM
Meeting Times: VH1000 at 9:00pm

Safe Zone: Any faculty or staff member with the “Safe Zone” sign displayed in their workspace is committed to learning about LGBTQ issues and challenging homophobic and heterosexist behaviors.
