• The Vagina Monologues

  March 19 & 20, 2008

  Celebrating vaginas! Celebrating women! A favorite campus event, The Vagina Monologues is happening again! Come see the TSU performance of the Obie Award-winning episodic play written by Eve Ensler.

  Tickets are $3 for one or $5 for two and will be sold soon in the Student Union Building. Tickets may also be bought at the door. The Women's Resource Center will also be selling a variety of Monologue products including buttons and clothing! This year's beneficiaries to which all proceeds will be donated are Victim Support Services and the Adair County chapter of PFlag.

• V-WEEK: A Film Viewing, "Until the Violence Stops"

  A special film event hosted by the WRC and Student Senate as a part of Diversity Week. Donations will gladly be accepted on behalf of this year's beneficiaries: Victim Support Services and PFLAG. A powerful film that documents how "The Vagina Monologues" grew to an international grassroots movement to stop violence against women.

  A groundbreaking collection of monologues by world-renowned authors and playwrites promoting awareness about how women and men are affected by sexual violence.

• Vagina Monologue Auditions

  January 22 & 23, 2008

  Baldwin Hall 284 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
  

  Women (students, staff, faculty, AND community members!!!) of any age are invited to come audition for the WRC's annual production of The Vagina Monologues! It will be a cold reading and every one who is auditioning will receive the necessary materials at that time.

  The Vagina Monologues are a part of the contract with the VDay organization that only women preform in the production of the play; however, in no way will you be turned away from auditions if you identify as a gender other than your sex. If you identify as a woman you are welcome to auditions!*

  *Anyone (no matter sex) who is interested in tech and/or PR should also come to an audition date to fill out an interest sheet.
